John Hancock Fitness Center
At Chicago’s iconic John Hancock building, one of the world’s highest indoor swimming pools drastically needed an update, and Trostrud Tile was honored to work on the project with Archimage Architects, Ltd. We were intent on setting a high level of expectation regarding the flow of water at the barrier-free showers and the pool deck, and insisted on a 1/4″ per foot pitch. Despite numerous challenges, we achieved that expectation, and the project, featuring Italian Porcelain tile and glass mosaic, was a great success.
